How to say “Thank you” in Korean

감사합니다

gamsahamnida

Literally: (I) do thanksformal

The safe, polite default with strangers, staff and elders. The written ㅂ before ㄴ is pronounced m, so it sounds like "gam-sa-ham-ni-da". 고맙습니다 is equally polite and sounds a little warmer.
